**Desert Rescue** is a retro-inspired 2D side-scrolling platformer built with Python and Pygame. Embark on an epic journey across **7 unique episodes**, each with distinct environments, enemies, and bosses.
Run, jump, and fight your way through **35 hand-crafted levels** spanning deserts, jungles, frozen tundra, swamps, ancient tombs, and the Great Wall of China. Collect gems, find hearts to restore health, grab invincible shields, and ride mounts to survive increasingly dangerous terrain.

Install instructions
Windows:
- Download DesertRescue-Windows.zip
- Extract the ZIP file to any folder
- Open the extracted folder and double-click DesertRescue.exe to play!
No installation required — just extract and play. Note: Windows SmartScreen may show a warning since the game isn't code-signed. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to start the game.
